webbefy vs Wix
Wix is a full website platform: templates, a drag-and-drop editor, an online store, bookings and an app market. webbefy does one narrower job. It turns a few facts about your business into a finished website you can publish the same day, billed monthly in rand. Which one is right depends on what you need the site to do.
Side by side
| What is compared | webbefy | Wix |
|---|---|---|
| How the site gets built | You answer questions about your business. The AI drafts the whole site, with pages, copy and colours, and you pick the design you like. | Start from one of 2,000+ templates or the Wix AI builder, then arrange and edit each element yourself in a drag-and-drop editor. |
| Changing it later | Update your details and the site updates with them. For a different look, generate a new design. There is no freeform layout editor. | Full control over the layout and every element on the page, which also means the design work is yours to do. |
| Price | R499 a month per site, billed monthly in rand. Your first design is free. Extra designs are R20 each. | A free plan that shows Wix ads. Paid plans from US$17 a month billed yearly, or US$24 billed monthly. Prices vary by country. |
| Commitment | Month to month. Cancel anytime, with no contract. | The lowest prices are for a yearly plan. Paying month to month costs more. |
| Your web address | A free webbefy.site address, and you can connect a domain you already own at no extra cost. | The free plan uses a wixsite.com address. Paid yearly plans include a domain for the first year, and it renews at a cost after that. |
| Selling online and bookings | Not offered. Customers reach you through your contact form, WhatsApp, phone or email. | An online store from the Core plan (US$29 a month billed yearly), as well as bookings, a blog and hundreds of apps. |
| The words on your site | Written from the facts you give it. It does not add reviews, awards or clients you did not tell it about. | Wix AI tools can draft text for you, which you then check and edit in the editor. |
