What do your cakes look like?
Upload photos of your best cakes, breads and treats and the site builds a gallery from them. For a bakery, the photos do most of the selling.
How do I order, and how far ahead?
Explain how ordering works in your details, such as how much notice you need for a celebration cake, and the WhatsApp button can open with an order message ready to fill in.
Can I collect, or do you deliver?
Say whether customers collect from you, where from, and whether you deliver and to which areas. If you have a shop, your address puts a map on the site.
Do you cater for allergies?
If you bake gluten-free, egg-free or halaal, say so in your details and the site states it in your words. If you do not, it says nothing about it.

This is enough for a full first draft. Anything you do not have yet can be added later, and the site updates when you do.

Common questions
Can customers order and pay online?
No. The site has no online shop. Orders come in by WhatsApp, phone or the contact form, and you confirm the details and payment with each customer.
Can I show prices?
Yes, if you put them in your details, for example a starting price for celebration cakes. The site only shows prices you give it, so leave them out if every order is quoted.
How much does it cost?
Your first design is free. Extra designs are R20 each. Publishing costs R499 a month per site, which includes hosting and a free webbefy.site address. There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time, and your site stays live until the end of the month you have paid for.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Every site goes live on a free webbefy.site address, and you can connect a domain you already own at no extra cost.
Do I need to know anything about websites?
No. You answer questions about your business in plain language, preview the whole site, and publish when you are happy with it. There is no design or code to deal with.
Can I change my details later?
Yes. Update your phone number, hours or address and your published site updates with them. You can also generate a completely new design and keep the one you have.
Will the site make things up about my business?
No. It is written from the facts you give it, and it does not add reviews, awards, qualifications or clients you did not tell it about.
