What kind of food is it?
Describe your style and your popular options, such as a braai, a buffet, platters or plated meals, and upload photos of food you have served.
Will you come to my venue?
Say which areas you travel to and whether you supply staff, crockery or equipment, so people know before they ask.
How do I get a quote?
The contact form and a WhatsApp button with a message ready to fill in collect the date, the event and the number of guests, so you can quote straight away.
What to have ready
This is enough for a full first draft. Anything you do not have yet can be added later, and the site updates when you do.
- Your business name, phone number, WhatsApp number and email address
- The events you cater for and the food you are known for
- The areas you travel to, and what you bring with you
- Photos of food and setups from past events
- How you prefer to quote, such as per head or per package
Common questions
Can I put my menus on the site?
You can describe your options and packages in your details and the site sets them out as sections. There is no separate menu builder, so keep it to what you want every visitor to see.
Can clients book a date and pay a deposit online?
No. Enquiries come to you by email or WhatsApp, and you confirm the date and the deposit with each client yourself.
How much does it cost?
Your first design is free. Extra designs are R20 each. Publishing costs R499 a month per site, which includes hosting and a free webbefy.site address. There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time, and your site stays live until the end of the month you have paid for.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Every site goes live on a free webbefy.site address, and you can connect a domain you already own at no extra cost.
Do I need to know anything about websites?
No. You answer questions about your business in plain language, preview the whole site, and publish when you are happy with it. There is no design or code to deal with.
Can I change my details later?
Yes. Update your phone number, hours or address and your published site updates with them. You can also generate a completely new design and keep the one you have.
Will the site make things up about my business?
No. It is written from the facts you give it, and it does not add reviews, awards, qualifications or clients you did not tell it about.
